Cara Chigazola Tobin
Honey Road
Cara is the Executive Chef and Owner of Honey Road, a Mediterranean restaurant in Burlington that specializes in mezze (small dishes). She opened the restaurant in the summer of 2017 with her business partner, Allison Gibson.
Originally from California, Cara had moved between coasts before landing in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 2010 to serve as a chef de cuisine at the renowned Eastern Mediterranean restaurant Oleana. She was drawn to Burlington cause of its tourism-driven economy, nuanced dining scene, and small, tight knit community. In 2018, Honey Road was a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best New Restaurant and the following year was semifinalist for Best Chef: Northeast.
During the pandemic, Honey Road converted their restaurant from indoor dining to a takeout service and recently reopened their restaurant to indoor dining.
Cara will be a panelist on the Build, Adapt, Iterate, Grow panel on November 2nd.
