Spring 2024: Renewal

This year’s Summit, we are seeking eight women empowered businesses to share their business journeys, tapping into how their businesses address consumer, cultural, societal, etc. needs.

Background: We are excited to celebrate our fifth anniversary as a community network with womenpreneurs and organizational partners in Vermont’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. VTW has been showcasing business stories of women-identified and led businesses since 2018. VTW convened multiple small business owners to tell their journeys in starting and building their businesses to an audience of womenpreneurs, community leaders, and individuals seeking inspiration to get started with their own ventures. As our cofounder, Bethany Andrews-Nichols, described our first showcase: “a science fair-like event” where the audience is engaged with your story and your process.

Attending the Summit is like taking part in a TEDTalk with a Moth Story and Pecha Kucha twist. We often hear from attendees that they are inspired by the stories shared on stage because they are accessible, relatable, and at times raw. We listen to stories and not business pitches. The VTW stage is an opportunity to amplify your business story in a supportive environment and connect you with potential collaborators. Presenters have utilized their time to build connections, tap into resources, rehearse their messaging, share aspirations and hold themselves accountable toward achieving their ideas for their business.
